SpyBuddy 2009 Usage Guide
Preferences
In order to adjust SpyBuddy's settings simply click File in the top left-hand corner and select Preferences.
The Preferences Menu allows you to adjust:
- Recorded Activity
- Screen Shots
- Your Password
- Keyword Alerts
- Chat Blocking
- Web Blocking
- Updates
- Program Blocking
Recorded Activity
Activate SpyBuddy's monitoring options by clicking the Recording tab and check the appropriate boxes. Click the Apply button to save your changes.
Screen Shots
Activate SpyBuddy's screen shot monitoring by clicking the Recording tab and checking the box adjacent to Enable Screen Captures. Here you can adjust the number of screen shots to store and how often you would like a screen shot to be taken. Click the Apply button to save your changes.
Password
Change your SpyBuddy password by clicking the Administrator Password tab, enter your old password, your new password, and confirm it by typing it again once more. Click the Apply button to save your changes.
Keyword Alerts
Set SpyBuddy's keyword alerts by clicking the Keyword Alerts tab and adding and removing keywords as desired. Click the Apply button to save your changes.
Chat/IM Blocking
Set which instant message platforms you would like SpyBuddy to block by clicking the Chat/IM Blocking tab and checking the appropriate boxes. Click the Apply button to save your changes.
Web Blocking
Set which website you would like SpyBuddy to block by clicking the Web Blocking tab. Domains can be blocked individually by using the Add Domain button or by category by checking the boxes below. Click the Apply button to save your changes.
SpyBuddy
Set whether you would like SpyBuddy to automatically update, resume monitoring without password prompt, and how long before Idle timeout by clicking the SpyBuddy tab. Check the appropriate boxes and click the Apply button to save your changes.
Program Blocking
Set which Windows Programs you would like SpyBuddy to block by clicking the Program Blocking tab and adding the corresponding .exe file by clicking the Add Program button. Click the Apply button to save your changes.
